FRIENDS OF THE CHILDREN'S JUSTICE CENTERS

Each of the five Children's Justice Centers has a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit Friends group that provides significant financial and tangible support to the CJCs. The Friends help fill in the gaps to provide what the CJCs, as government entities, cannot. The Friends make sure the centers are stocked with stuffed animals, snacks, books, and child-friendly décor for the clients. They support the children in maintaining and enhancing the “normalcy” of their childhoods by helping to fund art, sports, and educational activities. The Friends also fund events and training for professionals who work in the field of child abuse, as well as prevention and education to strengthen families in our community.
